This project consisted of the full refurbishment of the Kanapaha Water Reclamation Facility Headworks. The KWRF processes thousands of gallons of sewage per minute. To refurbish this critical public works facility, our team designed a detailed phasing plan to ensure there were no disruptions to the flow at any time. We worked overnight to avoid rain and overflows, as overflows were a significant safety concern for workers. We led strict lock out tag protocols and adhered to all confined space and fall prevention guidelines necessary to maintain safety at all times.
Overall, this project required significant coordination with Gainesville Regional Utilities and strict adherence to safety procedures. Work was done quickly to minimize the downtime of each section and to reduce risk to workers. Our team managed all project components successfully and efficiently.
