The UF Office of the University Registrar requested a more welcoming lobby area and improved staff administrative offices. Achieving this goal required: flooring demolition and replacement, new drywall structures, energy-efficient LED light fixtures, updated casework/finishes, and more. This project also included updating an administrative area for U.S. military veterans to register for classes and enroll in benefits. Noise control was a key concern on this project—Oelrich Construction’s field team completed flooring demolitions at night to mitigate any disturbances to the neighboring Provost’s office. The preconstruction team successfully delivered approximately $55,000 in buyout savings in the first scope-of-work. The Owner was able to reinvest these savings in additional improvements to neighboring offices beyond the original project boundaries.
