Southwest Advocacy Group (SWAG) Family Resource Center

This project consisted of a complete renovation using an existing apartment building in the Linton Oaks neighborhood in SW Gainesville. This project was a grassroots community effort to develop a facility to serve the needs of the neighborhood and provide families access to much needed resources.Initially, Oelrich Construction contracted through Alachua County to act as the construction manager for the county portion of the project funding. As we became more involved, our role expanded to becoming the main point of contact for the overall project, helping to coordinate all the various entities were involved in the project’s success. During construction, Oelrich Construction led the process of soliciting and maximizing local donations of goods and services.Since its completion in May of 2012, the facility has formed a large part of the Linton Oaks neighborhood revitalization.
