City of Ocoee Bluford Avenue Reconstruction

The Bluford Avenue Reconstruction Project involved the successful reconstruction of the City of Ocoee’s central transportation artery, including the installation of water and sanitary sewer utilities, stormwater management systems, and roadside landscaping. This streetscape project enhanced stormwater and utility capacity while delivering a boulevard-style aesthetic to support Downtown Ocoee’s economic growth and future high-density development.

The improvements to Bluford Avenue spanned the area between Delaware Street and Silver Star Road, with overhead electrical lines moved underground. The road reconstruction included two primary components: the Sewer and Western Transmission Main consolidation and the Stormwater-Streetscape enhancements. The scope encompassed 3,000 linear feet of water main upgrades, a new gravity sewer system, and approximately 3,000 linear feet of a new 16” force main. Additional elements included storm drainage systems, concrete curbs, asphalt pavement, brick pavers, sidewalks, and landscaping.
