UF Turlington Hall Addition

This LEED Silver building is a standalone structure that backs up directly against Turlington Hall. Located in one of the most congested areas on campus, this project required coordination with FP&C, PPD, and UPD during preconstruction to schedule major construction activities around class schedules and slate major deliveries and multiple shutdowns to coincide with breaks on the UF calendar. There was zero laydown area and zero parking space. Confined to the smallest possible area, the jobsite incorporated pedestrian protection measures to ensure public safety.

We constructed all new hardscape, relocated chilled water lines, tied into existing power, and diverted 92% of waste from landfills. We identified almost $100,000 in potential value engineering items and saved the University nearly $10,000 through the Owner Direct Purchase Program.
