John Hunnicutt


Director of Operations

John began his career at Oelrich Construction as a field superintendent before advancing to Project Manager. He has more than 6 years of experience in the building construction industry. His field experience completing complex capital projects in congested campus environments, coordinating with regulatory agencies, and overcoming unforeseen conditions gives him unique insight into effective construction delivery.

As Project Manager, John is responsible for developing conceptual cost estimates, developing GMPs, providing constructability reviews, finalizing contractual arrangements, managing the procurement process, and ensuring effective change management throughout the construction process. As project lead, John is also responsible for ensuring effective communication amongst all team members which leads to the overall success of the project. After construction, he works closely with the user group to ensure that they are continually supported throughout the post-occupancy period. As Intern Coordinator, John also supports Oelrich Construction’s intern recruitment, training, and professional development.

The son of two architects, John Hunnicutt grew up in the construction industry. He completed his B.S. in construction management from the University of Florida.
